"Does fear of strangers have a connection to the love of one's own place?" Under this question, I created a new notation system made out of local substances and elements to transform public interviews into abstract portraits. Based on fifteen answers from informants who were randomly encountered in the city of Dresden, the material plates were generated. One material element is representing an answer. One plate stands for one's opinion and emotion about the current city and situations. By using a kaleidoscope-like instrument to see the answers as a constantly changing phenomenon of the city, the public interviews were conducted.
